Shelby F-150 Super Snake

Now this is pretty darn intense. You want power, and Shelby has delivered with this BEAST of an F-150.

Introducing the Shelby F-150 Super Snake. 5.0L 750hp V8

Not too much information has come out but it was constructed through a large collaboration between Shelby, Ford Performance, Borla, and others.

Unfortunately, these are going to be gone real soon considering there are only 150 units that will be produced and the prices are going to be starting at $96,880. Don't forget, they also come with a three-year 36,000 mile warranty as well.

Another big thing is that they will be available with either AWD or RWD configurations.

Which one would you pick?

At this point can we say its safe to say that RAM is obligated to come out with an SRT-10 successor? It's not just Ford doing this but the overall performance vehicle landscape across multiple segments and that's just in North America, RAM can sell in a number of markets, Ford too of course.

I'm pretty sure, and it's going to be some sort of Hellcat name or something along those lines. They had a concept that they made with the Hellcat engine but it looked more off-road oriented like they were more-so going after the Raptor. Maybe they'll create a road oriented iteration to combat these now.

I like to think part of RAM getting to that point was launching the RAM Rebel. Not easy throw money at a product so micro-niche as these performance trucks, but it sure is easier to offer special trims that are an incremental step forward. RAM Rebel is nice, but not that nice.

Definitely not that nice for sure. Ford did the right thing by offering these at such a limited number though and 150 at that is just ideal. Makes it desirable, they can set it at a price and know there's at least 150 people in the world that will jump to buy it just to say they have one.

It's the only way they can make financial sense of this and further improve the brands image.

Easier to dedicate a team to build these for 6 months than anything else. They will fly off the shelves, I know it. But hopefully Ford will plan for a bigger roll out in the future.

With the F-150 being their best selling product as well, they can make any sort of special edition and it'll sell darn well. It's something that'll get them bouncing around the newsrooms of publications and make them sales.. put those two together and that's brand success.

I think it was that success which led them to making trucks more luxurious, before they would be boring but then Ford came on the scene including special features in some of its trims. At one point they made a F150-based Lincoln truck.

The Mark LT was pretty darn badass. A luxurious truck especially when there really weren't/still aren't any out there. Mercedes is coming with an X-Class but I doubt it's coming to NA. Perhaps the Mark LT will make a return though?

Haven't seen any information indicating they would bring it back but right now Lincoln is in the best place possible to do so. Years ago you couldn't say that. If they do it will be the ultimate luxury truck, especially if the interior is like this:
