Ford F-150 Is A Finalist For Motor Trendís Truck Of the Year Award

Of course we donít expect any less from F-150 since Fordís F-series trucks has been dominating the pickup market for years. No specific variant was named as the 2018 Motor Trend Truck Of the Year finalist because the publication was a fan of the large range available to buyers.

No matter your needs, Fordís F-series will most likely have you covered be it a specific use model like the Raptor or certain features like Pro Trailer Backup Assist.

Need a heavy hauler that can tow more than its own weight? The 4◊2 SuperCab will do just that with a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine and twn-speed transmission. Itís enough to tow a maximum of 12,000 lbs and the pickup even comes with selectable Tow/Haul, Snow/Wet, EcoSelect and Sport Modes.

Or maybe youíre more of an adventurer, in which case the performance oriented desert Raptor will be more appealing with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 unit delivering an impressive 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. Not only does it have power in spades, the Raptor also features 3.0Ē FOX Racing Shox with unique internal bypass technology.

This year, the Ford F-150 will be going up against the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 and GMC Sierra 3500 HD Denali for the Truck Of the Year title. Let us know below which model you think will be crowned king.

So nice to know, that the car you're looking to buy is one of the best in the market. Good job Ford!\

By the way, I'm a bit surprised to see GMC Sierra 3500 as a finalist, I've read a lot of negative review about its driveline behavior when towing. What do you think about this finalist?

Ford will win because right now they have the advantage, only recently we got introduced to the newest generation F150, GM on the other hand is still working on its next generation Sierra and Silverado. Next years truck of the year comparison will give a far more accurate take on what someone can buy these days.
