Ford Could Build a Ranger Raptor

Speaking to Motoring, Ford Performance communications manager Paul Seredynski said that a Ranger Raptor is a "fascinating idea."

Indeed, such a model could be part of the 12 new performance models that Ford has announced which includes the Focus RS, F-150 Raptor and the Ford GT.

Quote:
A Ranger Raptor would certainly be an interesting addition to the lineup but Ford Performance chief engineer Tyrone Johnson noted "everything we do has to have a solid business case" as the company isn't interested in models that lose money. That being said, Johnson stated a Ranger Raptor "could be considered" if the company can build a business case for the model.
Do you think Ford could put forward a valid business case?

It would be a good rival to the Mercedes X-Class AMG, a cheaper rival maybe?

Keep in mind that Mercedes pickup is not being sold in North America.
