F150 Convertible ?!

Now... I feel like this is all sorts of wrong, and I'm trying to figure out where they added supports for this. But for some reason.. someone went and installed a power soft-top and converted an F150 into a convertible. It looks all sorts of weird, and I'm really not fond of it but hey, it may appeal to someone out there, clearly it did for this guy.

I'm not entirely surprised someone did this since it's already happening with other vehicles. In the Middle East there's at least a few convertible Lexus LX's around:

During a time when more and more people are getting trucks as an SUV substitute this should come to no surprise.

Jeep guys will like it

That is too darn weird. But I have seen quite a few odd examples from places like Dubai.

Lol Jeep guys would definitely be all over this in a heart beat haha

Well, its far more natural and acceptable among the Jeep crowd, so that's a given, it's been that way for decades. It's products like the F150 and luxury SUV's like a Lexus LX that really deviate from the norms when getting this treatment. Actually Jeeps were made with this in mind, Wranglers give you that option by default.

Wranglers are a given considering the way they're produced. But seeing these and comparing it to Jeeps like the Grand Cherokee is what I was talking about.

IMO if we were to see anything even close to this from Jeep it will be with the upcoming Wagoneer, I know guys in the Middle East will jump on it right away. But one thing that might keep people content with the way the Wagoneer is from the factory is the fact it could come with a panoramic roof.

Guaranteed. If they released a special edition of the Grand Wagoneer and make it a convertible and limited it to 100 or even 250, the price points they could call for it would be astounding BUT they would sell in a heartbeat. I know, far off, but look at something like the G65 4x4 convertible.
