Ford F150 Steel vs. Aluminum Bed

Here's a video that shows exactly how strong the military grade Aluminum stacks up against the Steel that was used in the beds of the Ford F150 from 2014 and below.

At least Ford responded to Chevy with this but this whole thing started off on a stupid note, who really puts a bare metal bed through those extremes? 99% of the time people have a coating or hard plastic cover that absorb that impact. Just look at most of the trucks in this segment that show up on construction sites. Even the ex-construction pick ups that are on the used truck market.

You're definitely right. I can't remember the last time I've seen a truck of any sort that didn't have line-x or some sort of bed liner. The last one I seen I think was a Ram 1500 with a fiberglass shell cover on it, guy never used the bed once. Looked like it was waxed lmao
