Trailer Backup Assist

what kills me though is why drivers using a knob can back it up, but they can't do it with a regular steering wheel? I mean its simple. Counter steer in small inputs...

I think it's more for convenience than a person's inability to back up a boat trailer and I found a video of it in action. Seems handy but a bit confusing the first time you listen to the instructions.

but that's my point... is it really that difficult to back up a trailer that it needs to be made even simpler... It's just odd that no matter how many times they back in a trailer it seems to catch them by surprise everytime...

Man I learned when I was 13, pops trusted me more at the wheel then with the boat, HA.

I'd rather have it as an option than not have it. I don't see Dodge and Chevy stepping up to the plate installing this feature. Thankfully Ford is leading the pack as far as cool technology.
